SUNNY FIELD, OD, FAAO
Therapeutic Optometrist Dr. Sunny Field graduated Cum Laude from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelors degree in Biophysiology. She completed her Doctorate degree at the State University of New York College of Optometry. During her training she completed externships at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital and the 13 Area Branch Medical Clinic at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. She completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Sepulveda VA Hospital and went on to earn her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). She is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society and was the recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence and the Columbia Award for Academic and Clinical Achievement in Ocular Pathology. She was recognized in Vision Monday magazine's issue entitled,"Graduating With Honors: The Next Generation of Female Leadership" and has presented patient cases at SECO Southern Council of Optometrists conference. She has served on several medical missions teams to Oaxaca Mexico through the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, and is a member of the American Academy of Optometry. She and her husband Paul have three children Sadie, Seren and Elliott. |
